As humans, we have a lot of things in common. It doesn’t matter the color of your skin or your geographical orientation, we are made of the same nature.

Not only that, but we share most of life’s realities because we belong to the same universe. There could be some difference in the degree to which we experience life realities because of different levels of development and affluence, but in principle, life happens to all.

We all fall sick, die, lose our loved ones, pay bills, get cheated, taken advantage of, etc.

Because of globalization, we are currently experiencing a change in culture in so many societies and countries. The world has become a global village; we share a lot of cultures today more than any other time in the history of the world. We are connected by the same technology.

Geographical boundaries do not matter anymore; cultures are giving way to special interests. People’s identities are not based on their culture or geographical location but on those with whom they share the same interests.

Nevertheless, there remain so many other differences that will never be resolved by any level of development, globalization, or socialization because they are part of our nature, our DNA, and our individuality.

Diversity is very important for human survival, social life, and fabric development in different sectors and in dealing with universal challenges.

Through history lane and even in the contemporary world, we as humans have seen, enjoyed, and benefited from individuals’ special talents in the areas of health, entertainment, sports, psychology, technology, etc.

Many people have been inspired to do better by these people who have gone on to become legends, celebrities, household names, and idols as a result of their achievements and contributions to humanity through their work.

However, most of the time, we like to think these people or some people are just of a different nature to us. It is like they are made from different materials. But, in reality, they are as much a part of humanity as you and me.

These are some of the things we all share as humans at a personal level.

1. We all have wounds, a dark chapter. But we need to work on the healing process. None of us should be ashamed of that, and it is shameful if one pretends not to have any pain, wound, or dark chapter. Because it doesn’t improve you and it doesn’t make you more superior to others, but it makes you the worst human being.

Nevertheless, none of us should dwell in that state; you must work on your own healing. When you allow you’re past pains, wounds, experiences, and failures to control your now and future, you rob your life of its greatness and beauty. Get over it, get free from it.

2. We all have our weaknesses that make us feel low internally. People do not know that, but that thing is always starring at you. We need to admit them to ourselves and, when necessary, to our peers. It is wise to know your weaknesses or limits and choose a better path to keep on living.

The danger is that when your enemy gets to know your weakness, they will always attack you from that angle. Nevertheless, to overcome that is simple: admit it, never be ashamed of it. Once you do that, it loses its power to break you.

A weakness teaches you to handle and treat other people with courtesy and understanding, because you know that somehow, somewhere, they also have something to deal with. The worst people are those who never admit their weakness. They tend to be self-righteous and cold-hearted.

3. We all have potential.

The dictionary defines potential as follows:

Possible but not yet actual.

We have the ability to be something, do something, and achieve something. The possibility is there, but work is needed to develop these qualities into something meaningful.

You may have a good voice, charisma, sense of color and style, be a good listener, etc. You can develop these qualities and the possible will become a reality. Personally, I have never seen a man without special qualities. The problem is that many people are so lost in other things that they don’t even notice their own qualities.

They say, “If you do not flap your wings, you will never know how high you can fly.”

4. We all have talents that are waiting to be unleashed. Everyone is born with a talent; you do not need to do anything to acquire one. You’re born with it. You do not choose talent, talent chooses you. However, for a talent to grow and attain its full maturity, it needs your efforts. But the best way to grow your talent is to use it.

When a talent is put to good use, there’s no telling how many doors it will open for you, how far it will take you, and to what people it will take you.

If we all became conscious of our talents and used our talents faithfully, this world would be different and better than what it is now.

5. We all live under the principal of limited basic resources.

Basic resources are time, energy, and physical presence. We all have 24 hours in a day. No one has 25, or 30, but what we invest in those hours determines what we achieve. Our energy is also limited. We cannot perform at the same level throughout life, at every task, and we cannot do everything. We need to choose what to do and focus only on that for maximum results. Finally, we cannot be everywhere because we are not spirits, but rather mortal men. We need to choose to be in the right place to maximize our lives.

You can’t sleep in two homes, drive two cars, or do anything else at the same time. We are limited. We want to be unlimited. We need to choose where to invest our money. All the great people in history are not known for doing ten things well, but one.
